April Rain by Langston Hughes

It’s raining here in Los Angeles today. I normally play disc golf at sunrise on the weekend. Not today. I stayed in bed late and then opened a book of poetry by Langston Hughes. I selected this short poem for my reading today.

Let the rain kiss you
Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops
Let the rain sing you a lullaby
The rain makes still pools on the sidewalk
The rain makes running pools in the gutter
The rain plays a little sleep song on our roof at night
And I love the rain.

It feels right.

DOES NOT matter if you as a mortal don’t believe - totally irrelevant; we all are gonna croak someday. Thus, your indelible soul? Totally up4grabs by the LIAR - God‘s left the building cuzza people like you; however, I refuse to split, I’m stick’n around like flies-on-deadly-paper. I say this to the masses of humanity: God only gives bawls to those who see the need for humility. God blessa youse -Fr. Sarducci, ol SNL
